Why every business website should have a list

Having a website is an immediate requirement because the Internet has become so popular. Over 70% of the US households now have Internet access. While some business owners feel they do not need a website, it's really more important than they know.

Selling more products online is easy when you've got the right information. Most business owners are so busy working in their business, they don't take the time to work on their business.

When you look at the top-selling websites in the world most of them will have a headline. Your headline, much like what you see in the newspaper is what gets the person's attention so don't read your website. You've only got about 30 to 45 seconds to get and keep that attention.

Bringing video to your website is an important task that must be done immediately. Visitors now expect to see video instead of pictures. Business owner should want to use video because it allows you to better connect with your customers. YouTube has become one of the most used search tools and business owners without a YouTube presence are now losing business.

YouTube is a popular website for Google to spider because of its popularity, when you have videos on YouTube your ranking grows because you are in one of the most popular places on the Internet. Be sure to put your link in the video subject area, so you are building a strong presence online.

The number one thing I see missing from many websites is an e-mail list or newsletter. This list is critical to your business because it is your direct connection to your customer. You can let your customer know about important things in your business, with your products, and most important when businesses down you can e-mail your customers about special promotions you have, which increases your bottom line.

Building relationships with your customers is important because people buy from those they like. You can use your newsletter to not only inform your customer, but also as a connection to let them know you care.
