Cool Cell Phones Ring Tones

By Alf Artagen

You might think you have the coolest cell phone in the world, but if your ring tone is from the last century, you're dead in the water before you even get to begin. Nowadays the coolest cell phones need the ability to blast out the coolest ring tones and all the latest MP3's.

You need to be able to use your phone for talking and texting that's true, but they are way down the list of essential features when it comes to choosing a cool cell phone.

How can anyone survive in the 21st century without the latest cell phones with the latest features?

A few years back, the only sounds we could hear on our cells were monophonic ring tones, how did we survive back then?

Soon after, polyphonic became all the rage, and people were looking for cool phones that could play MP3s. Now their choice of ring tones and music was virtually unlimited.

The switch from monophonic to polyphonic was done so that companies could charge more for their phones than their competitor's could. Of course this led to a huge demand and sparked fierce competition to be able to have the best ring tones available.

It's amazing when you compare the primitive phones of just a few years ago with the full on multi-media machines we have today. I have over 30 hours of movies stored on mine for goodness sake!

While the choice of service provider might influence your purchase, it's more likely that you will opt for the phone with the most features for the lowest price.

If you are happy to sign up for and be locked in to a contract for some time, you will get to have the choice of all the latest cell phones for virtually nothing.

Luckily in today's day and age though, all you need is a USB 2.0patch cable and you can transfer any song you want to your cell phone. What will be the next big step in cell phone technology though; that is the real question. - 16747
