Avoid The IM Market: Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

By Neeraj Varma

Dylan Loh is making six-figures per month within three years of starting to market Clickbank affiliate products. Not focusing on selling Internet marketing products is key to his success.

Dylan was interviewed by Rob Toth as part of Dan Kennedy's Info Riches course. Top information marketers were interviewed for a series called "Future Of Information Marketing".

According to Dylan the market for selling Internet marketing products is getting to be really crowded and very competitive. The problem will only get worse as more and more people discover that it is possible to make good money on the Internet.

More people can enter the market and be successful. "The pie is definitely big enough", says Dylan. But "with three or four launches in the same week and sometimes in the same day it's increasingly competitive", says Dylan.

Dylan says "it's relatively easier in non-Internet-marketing niches". There are lots of good niche products to sell in Clickbank if you look real hard. "My philosophy is that I always get them (new clients) to start off in other niches then it's easier to enter and get the feel of it", says Dylan. Once they have some success in these niches they can always go back to the Internet marketing niche.

What happens is that when people think they want to have an Internet business they start looking online for information. They sign up for some lists and then get bombarded with offers to buy Internet marketing products. They are being targeted to buy more and more Internet marketing products because that's what they were looking for.

But that's where a lot of people get stuck. They might venture out in some other niche for a short time, but they are being pulled back into the Internet marketing niche because that's what they are consuming. "There are so many other niches that no one is paying attention to", says Dylan.

People need to focus on one niche, become successful (or not) THEN move on to another niche. Start off with a non-Internet-marketing niche to get your feet wet. After you become successful in other niches you can go back to the Internet marketing niche and you will find success much easier.

Take action and focus. That's the key. "Don't over-analyze the situation." You'll be better off if you get a little understanding and just take action. You should take small steps until you know what to do. Then you can spend more time and money on things that have proven to work. Drop what doesn't work. If you want to learn you have to get started first. "Don't spend so much time trying to think of all the possible ways to be perfect", says Dylan. - 16747
